Good Over Evil!

Darkness stay away
Don’t come creeping any more,
You don’t have a place – go away
Against you we’ve shut the door.

You’ve deceived and duped the nation
Til the LIGHT has seemed to dim,
But don’t think for a single minute
That you’ll win victory over Him.

Evil is very real
And causes one to gasp,
But good will overcome
‘Cause Christ is here to last!

Other lands are looking to us
And know that we’ve been blessed,
They’ve heard God’s message from us
In Him, found peace and rest.

Go back the way you came
Leave America alone,
You have no hope of winning
Jesus Christ is on His throne!

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

Never A Day!

There is never a day without joy
And never a day without hope,
No matter the details of life
There is a way you can cope.

To cope in the name of Jesus
To call on Him through the pain,
Brings healing to heart and to mind
Will make you glad that you came…

Came to the throne of our Lord
Released your troubles to Him,
Knew as you walked away
You’d come back to Him once again!

Faith grew and trust did prosper
And revealed the truth to your heart,
The only way to cope with the pain
Was to visit Christ from the start.

Now the path to healing
Is used and rutted with wear,
The way it leads to joy and hope
Is to the One who your pain will bear!

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefitswho forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3

Jesus -

You came to live
You came to die
You profoundly saved my life;

You took my sin
Washed it away
With Your blood – You are the Christ.

You went to the cross
You went to the grave
You arose to live again;

You captured my heart
When You came there to live
I repented of my sin.

You bring new life
Where there was death
And the power to overcome;

Your love reached out
From the cross
As You said, “now it is done“.

Thank You, Jesus, for dying for me. I am forever grateful for my new life in You!

He is risen!” Luke 24:6

No Need For Fear!

Why are people fearful of God
Afraid of who He is,
Afraid of what He stands for
Afraid of what they’ll miss?

Afraid to give their heart
To give their life to Him,
To love Him with their being
To repent of all their sin?

I know this to be true
‘Cause I was once afraid,
But then He opened up my eyes
Came in my heart to stay!

No deeper love could be…
His forgiveness of my sin,
Took away my fear
Gave me freedom from within.

No one should wait too long
Or let fear keep them far away,
From God’s love and His forgiveness
…Give Him your heart today!

God says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. ~ 2 Corinthians 6:2

Regrets!

Regrets – I have a few and I believe we all do!

If I could live life over again, thought more about what is sin…
There’d be so much I’d redo – what about you?

Unkind words, haughty looks
Friendships harmed, sometimes forsook!
None can say without a doubt
They know what love is all about!

Unless…

We look to God whose love is real
No enemy can some and steal,
The love that lasts through thick and thin
The love that God gives to all men.
If only we could live this way
We’d have God’s peace come what may!

This season as I note the cross
What it took and God’s own loss…

I long to “give it all to Him”
To turn away from any sin;
That lingers still and holds me back
And leaves me open to stealth attack!

Instead my heart is open to
All it takes to start anew,
Giving back what I’ve received
The love of God to those in need,
His forgiveness, His “second chance”
His merciful and gracious stance;
Regrets forgotten, washed away
As the blood of Christ revealed the way…

To love, forgiveness, healing!

His love for us reveals how we can and should love others – for His glory.

Thank You, Jesus♥

We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Some thoughts…

The enemy can see our words on paper, hear them as they are spoken and use them to further his agenda. God can know our thoughts, see our words on paper, hear them as they are spoken and see and hear them in our hearts. He connects with our hearts as only He can because He lives in our hearts. As Christians, when our words glorify Him, it is because He has spoken His Word(s) in to our hearts and they come out in our thoughts, our speech and our desire to praise Him and share His love and mercy. It seems best to only speak/share words that honor our God who loves us so!

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

Invite Jesus!

Make Jesus your own
Invite Him in to your heart,
Put Him on His throne
And get a brand new start.

Without Him in your heart
Without Him in your life,
Nothing means anything
And nothing is ever right!

He’ll be there forever
And always by your side,
Loving you and keeping you
He’ll always be your guide.

Don’t put off ’til tomorrow
What you must do today,
This is an invitation
Please do it, don’t delay!

Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” Hebrews 4:7; Psalm 95:7,8

Sweetness And Light!

We want everything to be sweetness and light
Everything always to be sunshine and bright.
But acknowledging reality and exposing what’s wrong
Will alert and direct us to pray to be strong.
God didn’t promise that there’d never be
Hardship and danger for you and for me.
He did promise though, that in all we go through
He’d be right there with us;

He’s GOD…
So we know this is true!

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~ Deuteronomy 31:6

Endure!

God protects from all harm
He gives us safety sure,
Turning to and trusting Him
Will help us to endure…

Endure to the end
All hardships that will come,
And calling out to Him
Until we’re safely home.

Hurt and sorrow – terror, too
God sees what is before us,
Jesus is the safety net
The One in which to trust.

We say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:6
Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:28

Story Telling Time!

Our lives are a story
Each life is a book,
One worth the reading
Or at least a good look!

Whether it’s short
Or if it is long,
The journey of life
Is spent right or wrong…

Following a path
That is straight and is good,
Or taking some turns
That we never should!

The book of our life
By chapter and verse,
Has good and has bad
Has the best and the worst…

And if our story
Has God on its pages,
Will those who read it
See Him through the stages?

In the final chapter
And on to THE END,
Was there impact for Christ
Did it glorify Him?

Those who have served well gain and excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13
He who pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor. Proverbs 21:21
