Bring me back!

Forgive me, Lord, for walking away
For forgetting to listen to what You have to say,
For eyes that are blind
And ears that won’t hear
For a heart that is cold
To what You hold dear.

Draw me back
To where I belong,
To thinking what’s right
Instead of what’s wrong.

Remind me, Lord, like in days gone by
That You always hear my heart’s plaintive cry,
It is You I need and I want to be
Where I find joy and hope and Your peace.

Oh, Lord, draw me home
Might I fall to my knees,
Might my life bring You glory
I’m asking You, please!

It is the Lord Your God you must follow, and Him you must revere. Keep His commands and obey Him; serve Him and hold fast to Him. Deuteronomy 13:4

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

because He’s Christ!

Lord, I ask of You today
As I ponder and I pray,
To open hearts and focus eyes
On Jesus Christ who is the prize.

Of all the things we’d ever want
(Things, some may wish to flaunt),
Would be relationship with Him
And to declare, “I’m Born Again”.

Nothing greater could ever be
Worthy of a prayerful plea,
Draw all men to the One who saves
The One whose life He freely gave.

Reach down and grasp drowning man
Help him see Your eternal plan,
Help him know You’ll come again
And the storms of life he’s swimming in;
Won’t always last and You’ll be there
To always hear and answer prayer,
To pick him up and carry on
When life is tough and troubles long.

Nothing else is oh so sweet
Than when the Savior one may meet,
Comes in and settles in a life
And is the Lord – because He’s Christ!

God our Savior… wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4
