His Birth!

The journey across the desert, to the inn, they traveled afar
The night sky was bright and beautiful, lit by the moon and the stars.

We’d look for a Bed & Breakfast with a comfortable, soft warm bed
But Jesus was born in a manger, with straw for His tender head.

The animals all around Him, watched as His birth took place
His Mom and Dad were awestruck, as they gazed at His precious face.

His humble start on a quiet night came without fanfare
His welcome into the world, we know, was cold and lonely and bare.

But He came because God loves us, He was born to set us free
To live and die, be buried and rise – To live in you and me!

“The virgin will be with child and give birth to a son, and they will
call him Immanuel” – which means, “God with us.” Matthew 1:23
