God In Our Lives

God reaches into our lives each day
Asking us to trust and pray,
Leaning on Him and nothing else
Only Him, not even ourselves.
We really know in our heart of hearts
That making decisions that make us smart,
Are only the ones that put God first
And cause our hunger and our thirst;
For all He offers and all He brings
For His Holy Word and for all things,
Things that open our eyes to Him
That draw us close and away from sin.
The best relationship there can be
Is the one He offers to you and me,
On a daily basis, from hour to hour
We observe His glory and His power.
He pours Himself into our lives
Fills us up and satisfies,
And as we’re reaching up to Him
He blesses us – again and again.
No matter what is all around
When doubt and fear may abound,
Our God is there, we can be sure
He’ll see us through; we can endure.
Find Him, trust Him, always pray
Let Him into your life each day,
Ask for guidance and wait if you can
For His best answer and His best plan!

It is awesome to think that God penetrates into our lives and the circumstances we experience and He does so as often as we ask Him to and allow Him to. It is also an awesome thought to realize that in doing so, He is “busy” in our behalf as much as we want Him to be and recognize that He is! As we turn to Him and turn things over to Him, He has the freedom to accomplish the things He planned and purposed for us. And this is on a daily basis as well as a lifelong reality that we can claim and enjoy
because we are His. Jesus Christ accomplished so much for us when He gave us a relationship with God. His death on the cross, His shed blood and broken body allows us to invite Him into our lives and to know without a doubt that He comes – always when we ask. He knows when He is welcome and comes again and again gladly. I can’t imagine every day life without Him. Can you?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways (and days!) acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5,6

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalm 2:12
