God’s Health Plan

In Proverbs, we’re told
A merry heart doeth good;
God must know something
That apparently, we should!
A heart that is happy
Is generally stress free,
God’s Word is the x ray
To diagnose you and me!
His love the elixir
His medicine the cure,
He treats every wound
With precision that’s sure!
He’s the Healthcare Professional
We all want to see,
He knows just what ails us
And He heals us for free!
With no forms to fill out
Or papers to sign,
His open heart surgery
Heals every time.
Christ, the Physician
Gets to the source,
Of the sickness within
And changes its’ course.
He operates here
And restructures there,
Giving new life
With the tenderest of care.
He is health care forever
Life insurance His plan,
For the sick to recover
He died to save man!
His blood was shed
In no hospital room,
But so man can be well
When he enters his tomb.
When he’s discharged to Heaven
And healed for all time,
Spiritually speaking,
His life in its’ prime;
Then no sickness of sin
Can ever prevail,
God’s health care for us
Is guaranteed not to fail.
So when given a choice
For the ultimate in care,
Put your heart in His hands
And rest assured with it there!

The best fix for the health care we need – really need – is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our spiritual health is all about our eternal future. We focus on physical health and medical coverage for the huge variety of illness and injury. But in reality the importance we should place on personal insurance would be as much about our soul as our body.. God’s plan to save us through salvation in Christ is the only real coverage we’ll ever need. Health care is important and necessary, it is true. But our eternal health and life needs as much and more consideration. Healed hearts make for healthy lives!

A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance.
Proverbs 15:13

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16
