I’m Not Ashamed

My God, my Master and my King
My Lord is Ruler of all things,
Someday every knee will bow
To the One I honor now.
He is great, I’m not ashamed
To speak His praise, to say His Name,
Scoffers, doubters, who won’t believe –
Who, God’s gift won’t receive;
Don’t understand that Jesus reigns
Ignored or not, His love remains.
Come to Him, abide in Him
Never be alone again;
He bids you come, don’t delay –
Make this your “come to Jesus” day.

Our God is glorious. He is awesome. He is all powerful. He is mighty. He is worthy of praise. He is to be worshiped, to be loved – because He first loved us. Falling on our knees before Him is a humbling experience and one to be ever thankful for. Recognizing Him as Lord over all, acknowledging Him to be the Savior that He is, brings peace to the heart of the believer. His majesty is accepted and agreed upon. When we come to Him, receive Him as Savior, become empowered by His Holy Spirit, we are not ashamed to speak His Name. We are glad to do so as we share the message of salvation through Him. He calls us His own and we know that we are. We can boldly, without shame, speak of His love and forgiveness. How can we not? Our very lives are His because He rules and He
reigns. He is our King. I’m not ashamed. Are you?

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
-Romans 1:16-

For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
-Romans 14:11-

Jesus said, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.”
