Our Hope Is In Him!

Our only hope and it is best
Is found In Jesus, He is our rest.
We know to turn to Him each day
To find the truth, to know the way;
His joy, His hope, His peace we claim
He is our Savior, He is the KING.

This I call to mind and therefore I have hope; Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. Lamentations 3: 21-22

Don’t Wait Or Hesitate!

Lord, I am shocked and numb beyond words
Reeling and feeling like my prayers were unheard,
Yet God I know and that without doubt
You are the One who has it all figured out.

Your will be done, I want it to be
Your plan is perfect – with it I agree,
You set the sun and the moon in to space
And put every star each in its place.

You know the time and the date You’ll return
The fate of mankind is Your greatest concern,
You are the King, and rule over all
You reign from on high, and conquered man’s fall.

You redeemed us from sin and the universe waits
For the glorious appearing of our Savior so great,
Our hope springs eternal, on Your Word we do stand
Our fears and our future rest in Your hand.

Jesus, the name we praise and adore
The One the whole world is still waiting for,
Will return in His glory for creation to see
Every tongue will confess this Savior is He!

He is victorious and now so are we
Evil is vanquished for eternity,
So looking ahead and seeing beyond
I say, “Come, Lord Jesus” – to You I belong!

Today is the day of salvation – don’t wait or hesitate! Receive Christ as Your Savior. Don’t be left behind! “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now IS the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2b

Denouncing Fear!

Lord, we’re in a time and place
Where we need to see You, face to face
To draw closer to Your touch
To look to You for oh so much!

Wisdom – allowing You to teach
To learn what before stayed out of reach,
With blinded eyes and hearts grown cold
Open us now, Lord, help us be bold.

To know Your will, to know You well
Sharing with others we can tell,
Of Your love and mercy, that You’re fair and just
And in only You can we put our trust.

Lord, before it becomes too late
And we know neither the time or date,
Pour out Your Spirit on those You can use
We must turn to You – there is much to lose…

No one can ever say about You
“God is not real. God is not true.”
But there are many who believe this to be
We see it each day – they just won’t believe!

You look at the heart and know in the end
The one who is seeking and who will repent,
The very things You require of man
To receive Christ – Your salvation plan.

The enemy may be dancing in glee
As he wins some battles but not victory,
He sets the trap and watches man fall
But You pick up those who answer Your call.

Might we stand by Your side while on bended knee
Denouncing the fear as our hope is in thee,
Help us be strong in the storm on its way
Christ will return – maybe today?

The Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3

New Start!

Tell me what I long to hear
That Jesus loves me, that He’s near,
Help me fully realize
Just where I stand in His eyes.

Am I good and am I right
How do I look in His sight?
Is there something I should do?
Many things or just a few?

Questions asked, confusion cleared
The answer many need to hear,
Repentance, giving heart to Christ
Changing course and yielding life;
Loving God and others, too
A completely different point of view…

All results of a seeking heart
And the gift of Christ with a brand new start!

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord, ” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
God our Savior saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5

Ahh, Spring!

The sights and smells of Spring bring memories of long ago and some more recent. Good memories of other Springs, other years.

Farm machinery is out in full force. As sleeping soil in the fields is disturbed by the plows, there is a Spring smell to it. New buds fill the trees and shrubs. All of a sudden, leaves and flowers fill the landscape. Everything is green – so many shades of green!

Ponds, rivers and lakes are full and overflowing. The water is clear and fresh.

Summer is right around the corner. But until then, new life coming with Spring, makes me think of new life in Christ. The old is gone, the new has come – new heart, new thoughts, new activity, new growth.

A new person has been born – born again in Christ!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…1 Peter 1:3

Hope!

What happens to hope
When things all go wrong,
When a heart is bereft
And just can’t sing a song?
Can’t give every burden
So hard to bear,
To God who’s the Father
And the One to most care?
Just pray and ask Jesus
To draw you to Him,
He’ll stretch out His arms
And hold you within.

“I know the plans I have for
you,” declares the Lord, “plans
to prosper you and not to
harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace as you
trust in Him, so that you may
overflow with hope by the
power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
